This is Round one submission for Miss SDL 2009.

The theme for this round is "Fantasy".
I think I did not do better than my audition, so I wasn't really happy with this. Well, atleast I made it. And it look kinda nice on thumbnails too lol. :'<

This piece is a small tribude for ~dire-musaera. XD
I always wanted to draw Taichou Irisu riding on dire dragon- but I afraid that will look too similar with a certain animation... So I just made them fly together.

I wanted a afternoon bright sky, but isawsomeonealreadydoneabrightskythingforthisround so BLAAAH I CHANGE TO MORNING SUN YOU HAPPY NOW TT 3TT (LOL just kidding, no offense.)

I really love to paint Sky and clouds. When I was stuck painting the sky I really want =Serain to sit beside me and teach me how to do it right- ; ^ ; fuuuhuhuhuhu-




Anyway, thanks for looking. I hope I can do better next round ; 3 ; If I ever have a next round, that is.

It would look a little too close to a certain animation. I think the incorporation of the dragon works well. And I like how she is riding a flying fish and not a dragon. Everyone rides dragons (or bicycles and sometimes brooms). And she has to be an agile rider because anyone else would fall off at that angle.

The little bits of red here and there are great, especially the strawberry motif. I'm glad you decided to go with early morning sun because it highlights her just right.

Awww, I really like the colors you chose for the sky, here! I especially like how it puts the foreground into those darker blues.. very pretty.

And worry not, I think this "fantasy" round was the round of "CRAP! someone DID that already xD;; AWWGHH" hahahaha!
