Secret Santa Event in Samurai Duelers League!

Are you joining any Secret Santa Event? Too busy to do so? Or too late to join one?

I was invited by few Secret Santa groups, but I think a warm and friendly group like SDL will always be my only choice. This will be the first time for Irisu to join gift exchanging event, I am excited somehow. Even though I could be pretty busy during December (a lot of outings plus all the work-work responsibility!) But giving out a little gift shouldn't be a stressing mission, but fun! I CAN HANDLE IT YEEEEAAAAHH. X'D

Yesterday I made this poll while I'm feeling angry with a certain person imitating my style. You can see most of the option from this poll is about killing or slapping something lol. I apologize for being so immature and sensitive. m(_ _)m ;;;;

I never thought I would get so many suggestive comments from everyone! Thank you for writing down your thoughts about this matter. Most of you have a very rational thought about it and these comments have helped me in sense of thinking a new and healthier way. :3

Since I've somehow got so many attention from you all, I'd like to tell you guys a bit more of this matter. XD

Lets call this person Saki.
Since a year ago, Saki had started to express how much she like my stuff by making comments on my gallery. Later on, some of my friend informed me that this girl, Saki seems to took a lot of my ideas and applied into her art (style, layout, colors and fashion). Some of them was so OMG obvious and she's not giving any single credit and also claimed that she made it on her own. I started dig her gallery and later noticed that one of Saki's OC looks exactly like my OC Yan Qian. Yan Qian is like my dearest baby and she was cloned! I don't know if I was over-reacting, but I got really angry. My friends tried to ask her about the OC clone and she kept denying that she was refering to my stuff. Some times later I brought the matter in a note. I wasn't over-reacting nor being rude to her. I just said something like "I appreciate how you like my work so much that you would refer on them and spent time practicing with them. But I think your works are way too similar to mine. I hope you can show more appreciation to the original artist when you refer to their works, a simple credit is enough to show your gratitude......" and so on blablabla.

Yes, it would be a honorable matter when people start imitating your style to develop their own. Hey, all the artist do that when they were beginner? Maybe you are somewhat a great Master to them! Now that's kinda cool. I wasn't angry about that at all. But heeey I'm not a popular artist star like Naruto or Dragonball's artist, so not many would realize whose drawing you are referring to, so a credit from Saki is somewhat demanded for me. :'C ITS JUST A TINY LIL CREDIT PLZ. And she never did. I don't know why? Is it because a credit is too much to ask for? Is it so bad to let people know you are influenced? WAAAAIII PLZ :'C

In the end she dropped a simple apology to me, then wiped out all her heavily-Irisu-idea-ripped drawing out of her gallery and start drawing like a normal-Irisu-style-influenced person. Which I STILL can't tolerate yet. (because I'm such a bossy artist with a small small brain. :C ) I can never like her anymore after the first copycat matteeeeer- bawwwwwwwwwwwwww---*cut off another long baww*

I wasn't angry because someone is imitating my style, I'm just angry because they deny it while thinking everyone is blind.
But now I found her action acceptable after reading all the rational comments from my poll last night. Influence doesn't equal to stealing. No matter how hard you try you can never become someone else. Copy the surface of a drawing but not the ideas and thoughts inside. So like, thank you all, brilliant people.


Dear Saki, good luck on using artist as a stepping stone while trying so hard to hide the fact with your desu. I know you so well that I'm creeping under you under your bed. Oh and also, behind your ceiling.

Now I've gained 9000000000 EXP for my brain. Irisu leveled up!

I don't really care anymore. :'> Weee. Everyone! Let's continue to a better artist And also a better person.
